  1. Activate the dongle that has been installed on your PC, and also Bluetooth on your cell phone.
  2. Frequently you simply select ‘Pair with Device’ and that’s the job done. You can do this using either your mobile phone or the dongle – the end result is the same so long as Bluetooth ion the dongle is activated on each.
  3. Using your PC Bluetooth system, search for files on your cell phone. They should come up on your computer screen just like browsing a normal directory, and you can copy and paste or drag and drop files from one device to the other.
  4. In this way, search for the ringtone you have downloaded, which might be in the form of an MP3 file, and drop it into the folder on your mobile phone that you are using for your ringtones.

Play it to make sure that it is working properly. You are happy that it is playing properly, go into the ‘Profiles’ or equivalent area in your cell phone, and go to the section where you can change your ringtone. You should see the ring tone you have just downloaded, so select that, and it will be used as the default ringtone in future.

Exactly the same procedure is used to download wallpapers, videos and mobile phone games, so happy hunting!

If you are looking for free Bluetooth ringtones to download to your cell phone, then you won't find any, because the term refers only to using Bluetooth to upload ringtones already downloaded to your PC or laptop to your cell phone, or mobile phone.

However, that is how you use Bluetooth to achieve that, and you should be able to find plenty free ringtones online, unless your ring tone tastes extend to current chart hits, that you will likely have to pay for.

Even then, however, you still have to transfer them from your computer to your mobile phone, and Bluetooth is the easiest way to do that.
